Astronz GS880 10" (250mm) Dobsonian reviewed by Dave Brock

Dave Brock, builder of many fine telescopes said

"I hear a lot about how much can be seen with binoculars (the hand held variety). "Don't buy a telescope, buy binoculars". While they are very useful for low power sweeping of the sky or large comets etc., let's get one thing straight, they are no substitute for a telescope. I've never seen a shadow transit on Jupiter in binoculars.

I have looked through a number of ASTRONZ scopes and have yet to see a poor one. The 10" model is still very manageable. If that is the size you think will suit you then don't let anyone talk you into anything less. I say go for it!"

(Dave's comments were in regard to a relative newcomer to observing, proposing to buy a 10" ASTRONZ Dobsonion telescope)
